CLARE at COP31: Inclusive, Co-Created Research for Climate Resilience

/

As global leaders gather in Antalya, Türkiye for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31), CLARE will showcase how inclusive, Southern-led research is helping communities across Africa and the Asia-Pacific adapt to climate change and build long-term resilience.

From 9-20 November 2026, COP31 will bring together governments, researchers, businesses, and civil society to advance collective action on climate change.

Throughout the conference, the CLARE community will share evidence, lessons, and practical solutions demonstrating how inclusive, co-created research can strengthen resilience for the world’s most vulnerable.

To date, CLARE has worked with more than 190 partners, co-developed more than 95 climate solutions, generated more than 270 outputs and publications, and engaged over 21,000 people in capacity-strengthening activities.

A flagship CLARE session at COP31

If you are attending COP31, make sure to explore the wide range of events that will feature insights from CLARE work – including the flagship CLARE session at the Resilience Hub/ALL IN Pavilion.

On November 11 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. TRT, this CLARE session will explore how “Inclusive, co-created research delivers effective local adaptation”. Drawing on lessons from across the CLARE research portfolio, the Raising Adaptation Impact and Ambition (RAIA) project, and the Adaptation Research Alliance (ARA), the session will explore how inclusive, co-created research can enable locally led adaptation.

The session will be in-person and livestreamed on the Resilience Hub’s homepage.

Connect with CLARE at COP31

Beyond the flagship session, CLARE partners will contribute to discussions throughout COP31 on topics including urban resilience, intersectionality in adaptation research, and CLARE contributions towards an inclusive IPCC process.
