Introducing the CLARE research portfolio

/

Over the course of 2023, a cohort of 17 research projects officially launched under the CLimate Adaptation and REsilience (CLARE) Research programme.

CLARE Research supports a portfolio of carefully selected research projects related to the programme’s research themes: understanding climate risk, risk-informed early action, and developing in a changing climate. Collectively, this portfolio of projects links up short- and long-term climate change adaptation issues through transdisciplinary research partnerships led or co-led by researchers in the Global South.

You can now learn about all of the CLARE Research projects and explore the portfolio by geography, by partners involved, and by themes or topics.

These projects address a wide range of issues related to climate change adaptation and resilience, from agriculture, to health, urban adaptation, water security, and more. All projects under CLARE will address gender equality and inclusion considerations, and are incorporating the Adaptation Research for Impact Principles in pursuit of action-oriented adaptation research that is driven by user needs, co-produced with local experts, and equitable in practice. CLARE Research is also supporting capacity strengthening along the research to action value chain.

CLARE Research and project teams will be publishing updates on activities and outputs on the programme website on an ongoing basis. You can also sign up for updates to your inbox using the “Subscribe” function at the bottom of this page.
