Across the CLARE portfolio, our projects are hard at work synthesising evidence that is shaping adaptation policy and practice in Africa, Asia-Pacific, and beyond.

With these findings coming together, we are reflecting on our programme’s legacy to date and the lessons it offers for the future of adaptation leadership. This quarter, we have focused on balancing that reflection with forward-looking action.

We are proud to highlight a portfolio of action-research projects aimed at enhancing urban resilience in the ASEAN region. We are also excited to introduceRAIA, a new CLARE project launched in January, led by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) in partnership with Stocholm Environment Institute Africa Centre. At the same time, we are promoting practical evidence through our latest Thematic Brief on building adaptive capacity through mobility.

Finally, we are taking a critical look backward to reflect on the 2022 CLARE call for proposals, with thanks to Transitions Research for conducting the analysis. This report aims to ensure that insights from that call inform and strengthen future funding opportunities for Global South leadership and climate adaptation research.

This period of reflection positions the CLARE community to spotlight evidence and project findings as they emerge.

To see how these efforts are already translating into real-world results, we invite you to explore our impact page, where we have curated a collection of stories of change that represent the flourishing legacy of the CLARE programme.
